Former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, The Asia Foundation

Suzanne E. Siskel is the former executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Asia Foundation. A social anthropologist and experienced nonprofit leader, she brings more than four decades of expertise in international development and philanthropy. Suzanne previously held senior leadership roles at the Ford Foundation, including global director of Community and Resource Development and of Social Justice Philanthropy, and earlier as Representative in Indonesia and the Philippines. She began her career in Indonesia as a Luce Scholar in 1974 and later returned as a Fulbright scholar, university teacher, development advisor with USAID, and philanthropic leader.
In addition to the CMB Foundation, Suzanne serves on the boards of the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation, UBS-Optimus Foundation, Battery Powered Foundation, the Orchestra of the Americas Group, Friends of Fondation de France, Gamelan Sekar Jaya, Vicente Canyon Hillside Foundation, and Winrock International; and is a member of the Senior Advisory Council of the United Religions Initiative. She holds degrees in anthropology from Harvard University and The Johns Hopkins University.
